MSCUA Announces Board of Directors

BILOXI, MS (05/16/19) -- The Mississippi Credit Union Association (MSCUA) held its annual meeting & convention on May 15-18, 2019, at the Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. Attendance included more than 600 credit union professionals, volunteers, and guests.

During the event, elections were held, and the association board was announced. The twelve-member MSCUA Board represents the association’s seventy-three member credit unions in Mississippi that provide financial services to more than 650,000 consumers.

Four MSCUA directors were re-elected to a three-year term: Sheila Bridges, CommFirst FCU (Jackson, MS); John Gibbons, Triangle FCU (Columbus, MS); Chris Hammond, Sunbelt FCU (Laurel, MS); and James B. Smith, Jr., Singing River FCU (Moss Point, MS).

The MSCUA board officers are Chairman Chris Hammond, Sunbelt FCU; Vice Chairman Sheila Bridges, CommFirst FCU; Treasurer Katie Nelson, Eagle Express FCU (Jackson, MS); and Past Chairman James B. Smith, Jr., Singing River FCU.

Board members are Betty Barrett, Magnolia FCU (Jackson, MS); Billy Bridges, Mutual CU (Vicksburg, MS); Rebecca Cooper, 1st Mississippi FCU (Meridian, MS); Elmer Dickens, Gulf Coast Community FCU (Gulfport, MS); John Gibbons, Triangle FCU (Columbus, MS); Alison Lynd, Southern Coastal FCU (Biloxi, MS); Brig Gen Richard Moss (Retired), Keesler FCU (Biloxi, MS); and Ray Scott, Southern Mississippi FCU (Hattiesburg, MS).
