Mississippi CUs ready for Isaac

Posted August 27, 2012

8/31 Update:  No major damage to MS CUs has been reported to MSCUA at this time & most MS CUs in the major impact zones are scheduled to open today. (However, members are advised to contact their CU for details.  Get the Mississippi Credit Union Directory here.)

8/28 Update:  Credit union branches along the MS gulf coast will be closed Wednesday 8/29.

The Mississippi Credit Union Association (MSCUA) has been in communication with our members regarding their preparations for Tropical Storm Isaac.  Several credit unions along Mississippi's coast report they are currently planning to close Tuesday, while other credit unions around the state are being mindful of the potential for power outages and heavy rainfall that could affect their community.  As it becomes available, we will use MSCUA's Facebook page to share ongoing updates and information about Mississippi credit unions.

For credit union members traveling due to evacuation, if your credit union is a member of the Credit Union Service Center shared branching network, you may use one of many credit union branches in Mississippi and the U.S. to access your funds.  Find branch locations at http://www.cuservicecenter.com/, call 1-800-919-CUSC, or download the iPhone finder app (Visit the App Store from your device and search for "Credit Union Service Center" by CO-OP Network).
