Find a credit union right for you at aSmarterChoice.org.

How can I join a credit union?

By opening an account, you "join" a credit union and become a "member," a person that uses the credit union's financial services.  Credit unions serve members that share something in common, such as where they live, work or go to school. For example:
  1. Occupational - Members share an occupational (where they work) bond.
  2. Associational - Members share a bond through an association with a particular church, school, etc.
  3. Community - Members live in a defined geographic area, such as a certain zip code, town or county.
If you don't belong to a credit union and would like to find one to join, think about what "bond" you may share with others, visit aSmarterChoice.org and complete a few simple questions to find a credit union right for you!  You may also want to browse the Mississippi Directory of Credit Unions.
