Manager/CEO

Memorial Federal Credit Union, located in Gulfport, MS, is seeking a Credit Union Manager/CEO to work in concurrence with the Board of Directors on strategic planning and growth initiatives for its membership. This individual will be responsible for managing the daily operations, providing leadership to the staff and ensuring short and long term financial health of the credit union. Proficiency in budgeting, marketing, cash management, regulatory compliance, planning and financial analysis desired. A candidate should be a creative and innovative thinker with excellent oral/written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record of success while providing exceptional member service.

A degree in business, accounting or related field is required plus a minimum of five years experience working within a financial services institution.

Auditor

Financial Standards Group has a position available for Auditor in their Mississippi office handling credit union audits.  We are hiring an auditor for our Jackson office which will require some travel throughout the State of Mississippi.

Financial Standards Group, Inc. was formed in 1989 for the sole responsibility of providing auditing services to the credit union community.  Through acquisitions, mergers, and client referrals, FSG has grown to approximately 300 clients in over ten states.  The largest concentration of clients is in the Michigan marketplace.  We also maintain offices in Louisville KY, Jackson MS, and San Francisco CA.  We specialize in providing non certified Supervisory Committee audits to small to medium sized credit unions.  Our examination is essentially the same scope and magnitude as a CPA audit program, but is offered at a discount due to the non certified status. 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess excellent writing skills, analytical and reasoning abilities, and work closely with credit union management in all areas of the audit function.
  • BS in accounting/finance required. Auditing background a plus.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of internal controls, legislative & regulatory issues, compliance regulations, governance, and information technology.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and CAAS. 
  • Prior credit union auditing experience a plus

Accounting Manager/Controller

MUNA FCU in Meridian has announced its search for a new Accounting Manager/Controller.  This position will be charged with managing the credit union’s financial management and payment systems activities; including oversight of all financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, asset liability management, investments and product profitability.

Additional responsibilities will include the oversight of all payment processing operations including ACH, ATM, checks, cards, wires, remote deposits, and shared branching.  Reporting to the CEO, this position will be a key player on the organization’s leadership team in developing strategy and driving execution of key initiatives.

A minimum of 3-5 years in a financial leadership role with functionally broad, diverse experience within a credit union or community bank along with a bachelor’s degree is required.

Human Resources Manager

Job Description
Manage day-to-day human resource functions of the credit union; administer and monitor human resource programs and ensure compliance with credit union policies as well as external rules and regulations. Participate in developing department systems, goals, and objectives. Manage department staff; provide staff and managers with an effective resource for resolution of employee relations issues.

Responsibilities & Duties
Keep abreast of changing trends or regulations and react quickly to incorporate those changes into the credit union; implement and annually update compensation program, rewrite job descriptions as necessary, conduct and review annual salary surveys and recommend revisions as necessary; help develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures.  Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.  Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws

Required Skills
Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits; thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations; exceptional project and personnel management skills, excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment; proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is essential; exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team; ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

Member Sales and Service Representative

FAA Federal Credit Union is looking for a fulltime Member Sales and Service Representative exhibiting an extremely team-oriented and outgoing attitude. The right candidate will be a goal and results-oriented self-starter, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and a dynamic work ethic. Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have education consisting of an Associate's degree or higher preferred but may be offset with experience related factors. Prior banking/credit union, customer service experience, or cash handling experience is a plus. Good communication, organizational and computer skills are essential to this position.
