Member Solution Specialist

Mortgage Loan Officer

Navigator Credit Union is looking for a full time MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER.  This position is located in Mobile, AL.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Perform all facets of the mortgage origination process; including but not limited to processing, ordering underwriting documentation, approval, denial and closing; Cross sell loan products;  Prepare records and reports as requested and Provide the Loan Committee with additional information as required.

EXPERIENCE:  Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

EDUCATION:  High school diploma required.  College degree preferred.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:  Knowledge of lending principles including Navigator Credit Union policies and procedures, State and Federal regulations affecting mortgage loans, Fannie Mae’s origination guidelines and pricing structure. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:    A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in this position.  Must be able to conduct in-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Must be able to maintain licensing through the National Mortgage Licensing System throughout employment.

Internal Auditor

Navigator Credit Union is looking for a full time INTERNAL AUDITOR.  This position is located in Mobile, AL.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Audits the accounting and statistical data of various departments, divisions, and locations in order to verify accuracy. Audits the activities of various departments for compliance with plans, policies and procedures prescribed by management. Determines proper accountability of assets through physical count, inventory and confirmation. Prepares and submits reports on the results of audits, recommending improvements in policies and procedures. Audits accounting records of contractors regarding agreements where the company is a party of interest. Cooperates with outside auditors in any undertaking that might expedite their work.

EXPERIENCE:  Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

EDUCATION:  College degree in related area preferably Accounting or Finance.

Collection Manager

Position Description
Triangle is seeking a full time Collector Manager to control and collect late and/or delinquent consumer and real estate loan payments while balancing the goodwill of members with the overall business interests of the Credit Union.  The candidate should have the ability to develop and/or enhance the collection procedures of the Credit Union.  A candidate for this position should be professional with skills necessary for serving Credit Union members and projecting a positive image as a representative for the Credit Union.

Key Responsibilities
Contact members to determine the reasons for delinquency and assist them in bringing accounts current.  Serve as a liaison with attorneys or agencies in handling repossession of collateral.  Assist in the foreclosure procedures when necessary.  Maintain accurate repossession logs, bankruptcy files, charge-off lists, and other required documentation.  Prepare detailed monthly reports of charge-off lists and produce summaries of each delinquent account for management.  Other Collector related functions not limited to those stated herein.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school education required, a college degree preferred. 
  • At least four years experience in loan servicing or collections.
  • Knowledge of all applicable collection laws and regulations preferred.
  • Excellent phone and negotiating skills required.
  • Knowledge of general office software applications, i.e. Word, Excel, etc. and the ability to learn computer systems specific to Triangle FCU.

Infrastructure Specialist (Full-time)

Credit Union Manager's Assistant (Part Time)

Member Service Representative (Part-time)

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, develop business by initiating and building strong relationships with new and existing members.  Responsible for generating new business relationships.  Through personal contact and full utilization of information systems, uncover member needs and develop product/service packages designed to meet those needs.  Perform savings, loans and teller transactions for members.  Ensure proper balancing of cash drawer, checks and negotiable items.  Service new membership accounts and loans.  Answer incoming calls related to member service inquires.

EDUCATION:  Equivalent to High School education with additional broad specialized training equivalent to 1 year college.  Experience can be credited in lieu of education.  Continuing education a plus.

EXPERIENCE:  1-2 years sales experience with a financial institution products and services, including meeting sales goals for deposit, credit and automated products.
