Financial Standards Group has a position available for Auditor in their Mississippi office handling credit union audits. We are hiring an auditor for our Jackson office which will require some travel throughout the State of Mississippi.
Financial Standards Group, Inc. was formed in 1989 for the sole responsibility of providing auditing services to the credit union community. Through acquisitions, mergers, and client referrals, FSG has grown to approximately 300 clients in over ten states. The largest concentration of clients is in the Michigan marketplace. We also maintain offices in Louisville KY, Jackson MS, and San Francisco CA. We specialize in providing non certified Supervisory Committee audits to small to medium sized credit unions. Our examination is essentially the same scope and magnitude as a CPA audit program, but is offered at a discount due to the non certified status.
- Candidates must possess excellent writing skills, analytical and reasoning abilities, and work closely with credit union management in all areas of the audit function.
- BS in accounting/finance required. Auditing background a plus.
- Working knowledge and understanding of internal controls, legislative & regulatory issues, compliance regulations, governance, and information technology.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and CAAS.
- Prior credit union auditing experience a plus

This position will be charged with managing the credit union’s financial management and payment systems activities; including oversight of all financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, asset liability management, investments and product profitability.

Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits; thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations; exceptional project and personnel management skills, excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment; proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is essential; exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team; ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
