Loan Officer

Job Summary:

Gulf Coast Community Federal Credit Union is seeking a full time Loan Officer.  The position will be based in Gulfport, MS.  Our Loan Officers understand that "bad things happen to good people" and are empowered to think outside the box to help our member's fulfill their financial dreams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify members' loans and savings needs and provide solutions
  • Articulate to members the benefits and features of Credit Union products and services
  • Establish new member accounts and relationships
  • Accurately process loan and deposit documents in accordance with underwriting guidelines
  • Articulate interest calculations on deposit and loan products
  • Interview loan applicants and process application to completion
  • Promote and demonstrate electronic services
  • Assist members with credit analysis and basic budgeting issues
  • Identify mortgage loan referrals and refer to Mortgage Department
  • Demonstrate financial planning skills
  • Cultivate teamwork with supporting staff for referrals
  • Consistently achieve individual loan and deposit goals as set forth by management

Financial Services Representative (FSR)

Position Summary:
Mississippi Farm Bureau Employees Federal Credit Union is looking for someone that exhibits an extremely team-oriented and outgoing attitude. The right candidate will be an organized, goal and results-oriented self-starter, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and a dynamic work ethic.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting members with all basic aspects of their accounts, opening, closing, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, processing loan applications, serving as loan officer & assisting members with electronic access, etc.
  • An important aspect of this position is to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service.


  • 2-4 years of work experience in a similar field.
  • Prior banking/credit union, customer service experience, or lending experience is a plus. Good communication, organizational and computer skills are essential to this position.
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word required.

Loan Officer

Jackson Area Federal Credit Union is seeking applicants with proven experience in lending to join our team. The successful candidate has the ability to interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans. A thorough knowledge of consumer lending practices and regulatory compliance is a plus.

This position requires a person with solid organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Director of Collections (Gautier)

Navigator Credit Union is currently recruiting for a motivated Director of Collections who has the drive to build strong relationships with members.  

DEPARTMENT: Collections/Payment Services Gautier, Mississippi

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The Director of Collections is responsible for overseeing the collection and recovery strategy of the credit union. This person needs to be knowledgeable at the operational level while maintaining a strategic mindset to ensure that company goals are being reached. This position will have full responsibility for all internal collections and outside 3rd party collections suppliers and their results. Additionally, the Director of Collections will manage debt sales and debt buyers, ensuring regulatory compliance in the process. The Director of Collections will also be responsible for the policy and procedural accountability for collections and recoveries. Furthermore, this position will work closely with corporate entities related to collections and develop/foster positive relationships with all corporate and business operations;  Lead the credit & collections team to continually achieve operational excellence and drive continuous improvement for collections, customer service and process improvements while managing the total delinquency cycle ranging from past due collection calling, skip tracing, outside collection agency coordination, debt sales and litigation activity.


EXPERIENCE: Five to ten years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Must be a credit professional with a strong collection/disputes/cash application management operations background; Familiarity with collections tools, software and best practices; Strong customer service mindset and the ability to use collaborative and non-adversarial approaches in achieving goals and navigating complexity; Management experience including people development skills and leadership qualities; Must be proficient in business computer programs required to complete job functions; Must exhibit exceptional negotiation skills; and Must be able to work in a collaborative environment and present themselves in a professional manner at all times.
