Member Service Center Representative

Navigator Credit Union is looking for a Full Time MEMBER SERVICE CENTER REPRESENTATIVE.  This position is located in Jackson County, MS.

POSITION: Member Service Center Representative (Full-time)

DEPARTMENT:  Member Service Center

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  To assist members and potential members with their credit union needs; explain services, respond to problems and direct members to appropriate personnel; assist members with N Touch Web/Audio Home Banking, reply to PSCU/CUScripter escalated emails in a timely manner; cross-sell; perform basic teller transactions, accurate record keeping and serve as a liaison between members and NCU personnel; perform other duties as assigned.  Must have knowledge of Navigator Credit Union products and services, must protect member’s privacy and work every other Saturday or as needed.

EXPERIENCE:        Six months to two years of similar or related experience recommended.

EDUCATION:          Equivalent to a high school education.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:  To provide accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to every person calling Navigator Credit Union; to answer telephone calls within three rings and handle 2000+ calls per month; to be able to operate general office machines, including personal computers and calculators. Must be able to communicate well with others, in both English and Spanish, be dependable and prompt, and must be a problem solver.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess courtesy, tact and diplomacy skills while working one-on-one with callers when giving information that may require assistance and discussion.  Must possess a sales attitude to be able to effectively cross-sell to members.

Navigator Credit Union is looking for a MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE.  There are positions available in Jackson County, MS and Mobile, AL.

POSITION: MSR -- Member Service Representative (Full-time)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Assist members with a wide variety of services and advise as to how best utilize company products and services in order to meet personal financial goals and provide the highest quality customer service; open various new accounts, process necessary information and educate the customers as to services/products available as a result; assist with wide variety of members services; maintain Safe Deposit Boxes; assist members with checkbooks, process credit card/loan applications for members, manages outgoing wires, solve fraud issues, notary, close accounts and basic shared branching transactions; balancing cash dispense and ATM machine; and must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

EXPERIENCE:  Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

EDUCATION:  High school degree or GED required.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:  Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job; work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

Job Summary
This is a full time position located in Gulfport, MS.  Perform specialized and day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile ACH debits and credits
  • Process loan entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Maintain subsidiary records including payables, receivables, depreciation, pre-paids and accruals
  • Process member payrolls and resolve issues and exceptions
  • Manage and reconcile money order supply
  • Research and resolve member and staff issues in a timely manner
  • Process ACH origination
  • Process IRS backup withholding notices and payment processing
  • Balance cash accounts daily including verification of wire transfers
  • Process accounts payable and resolve any vendor issues
  • Assist in reconciling fixed asset and prepaid accounts
  • Process staff and officials employee expense reports

Accounting Manager/Controller

MUNA FCU in Meridian has announced its search for a new Accounting Manager/Controller.  This position will be charged with managing the credit union’s financial management and payment systems activities; including oversight of all financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, asset liability management, investments and product profitability.

Additional responsibilities will include the oversight of all payment processing operations including ACH, ATM, checks, cards, wires, remote deposits, and shared branching.  Reporting to the CEO, this position will be a key player on the organization’s leadership team in developing strategy and driving execution of key initiatives.

A minimum of 3-5 years in a financial leadership role with functionally broad, diverse experience within a credit union or community bank along with a bachelor’s degree is required.

Human Resources Manager

Manage day-to-day human resource functions of the credit union; administer and monitor human resource programs and ensure compliance with credit union policies as well as external rules and regulations. Participate in developing department systems, goals, and objectives. Manage department staff; provide staff and managers with an effective resource for resolution of employee relations issues.

Responsibilities & Duties
Keep abreast of changing trends or regulations and react quickly to incorporate those changes into the credit union; implement and annually update compensation program, rewrite job descriptions as necessary, conduct and review annual salary surveys and recommend revisions as necessary; help develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures.  Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.  Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws

Required Skills
Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits; thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations; exceptional project and personnel management skills, excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment; proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is essential; exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team; ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

Required Experience
Minimum of 7 years HR experience, at least 5 in a management role with 100 + employees
