Call Center - Member Service Advisor

Ferguson Federal Credit Union is seeking a dynamic team members to join our growing organization.  As a Call Center Member Service Advisor you will be responsible for developing business by initiating and building strong relationships with new and existing members using online channels/telephone.  Generating new and increased loan volume.  Through remote contact and full utilization of information systems, uncover member needs and develop product/service packages designed to meet those needs.  Assist the Loan Officer by making recommendations for approval or denial based on credit union policy and within the scope of responsibility.  Maintain record keeping of loan insurance coverage, title tracking, member transactions and refunds. Perform outbound sales calls and process paperwork to maintain quality control for the Credit Union.  Make decisions on refunding fees and charges to members, up to set limit.  Maintain level of loan proficiency by keeping current in knowledge of laws, regulations and Credit Union policies.  Perform savings, loans and teller transactions for members as needed.  Two to three years’ experience along with a college degree is desired.  Prior credit union experience is a plus.

Job Summary
This is a full time position located in Gulfport, MS.  Perform specialized and day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile ACH debits and credits
  • Process loan entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Maintain subsidiary records including payables, receivables, depreciation, pre-paids and accruals
  • Process member payrolls and resolve issues and exceptions
  • Manage and reconcile money order supply
  • Research and resolve member and staff issues in a timely manner
  • Process ACH origination
  • Process IRS backup withholding notices and payment processing
  • Balance cash accounts daily including verification of wire transfers
  • Process accounts payable and resolve any vendor issues
  • Assist in reconciling fixed asset and prepaid accounts
  • Process staff and officials employee expense reports
  • Assist in processing investment accrual transactions
  • Assist in improving departmental operating processes and procedures
  • Update and maintain policies and procedures within Accounting Department
  • Cross train within department to perform backup to other positions
  • Proficiently utilize Microsoft Office products to complete daily tasks

Requirements

  • Experience in credit union or banking industry required

Lending Director, Monticello MS

Ferguson Federal Credit Union is seeking a dynamic Lending Director who will be responsible for the proposal, initiation and oversight of all lending and account service (collection) programs provided by the credit union. This executive will assure lending and collection activities of the credit union meet the needs of the members, comply with all organizational policy, as well as federal and state regulatory requirements. Administration of the loan portfolio includes developing management reporting systems designed to keep senior management and the Board of Directors, abreast of the overall condition of the credit union’s loan portfolio. Further, loan administration involves the ongoing development and implementation of lending policies and products to remain relevant in the marketplace. This position will work with the President/CEO and Senior Management Team to develop long-term strategies for the institution, work with internal and external auditors as well as regulatory agencies. This position is responsible for the supervision of employees in all lending and collections departments.  Eight to ten years’ experience along with a college degree is required, as well as a proven background with experience in mortgage, business and consumer lending.

Member Service Director, Monticello MS

Accounting Manager/Controller

MUNA FCU in Meridian has announced its search for a new Accounting Manager/Controller.  This position will be charged with managing the credit union’s financial management and payment systems activities; including oversight of all financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, asset liability management, investments and product profitability.

Additional responsibilities will include the oversight of all payment processing operations including ACH, ATM, checks, cards, wires, remote deposits, and shared branching.  Reporting to the CEO, this position will be a key player on the organization’s leadership team in developing strategy and driving execution of key initiatives.

A minimum of 3-5 years in a financial leadership role with functionally broad, diverse experience within a credit union or community bank along with a bachelor’s degree is required.

Human Resources Manager

Job Description
Manage day-to-day human resource functions of the credit union; administer and monitor human resource programs and ensure compliance with credit union policies as well as external rules and regulations. Participate in developing department systems, goals, and objectives. Manage department staff; provide staff and managers with an effective resource for resolution of employee relations issues.

Responsibilities & Duties
Keep abreast of changing trends or regulations and react quickly to incorporate those changes into the credit union; implement and annually update compensation program, rewrite job descriptions as necessary, conduct and review annual salary surveys and recommend revisions as necessary; help develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures.  Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.  Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws

Required Skills
Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits; thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations; exceptional project and personnel management skills, excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment; proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is essential; exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team; ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

Required Experience
Minimum of 7 years HR experience, at least 5 in a management role with 100 + employees

Desired Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred, but will consider experience.
